Re: 63 interior
I may be able to hook you up with some trim and parts if still needed. I'm consolidating m 62 S22 and 63 S22 parts cars now and sending what's left to scrap within the next couple of weeks. I think I have everything I need for my other 63 S22. Once I have everything together and somewhat organized ...

Re: New leafs for the 63 - kinda wordy.....
What's with that big round tapered end on the front leaf spring bolt? It looks like the intention is to press out the original round piece (about 2.5" diameter) and use the new bolt to replace that end. Is that what folks are doing, or are you just replacing the bolt and leaving in that original ro...

Re: Clutch pedal wobbly
Thanks guys. Got it put back together and readjusted the linkage to help the pedal not go all the way down, plus, and don't laugh too hard, but I stuck a piece of this plastic trim I had leftover from putting in a bathroom window years ago, under the carpet as a stop. It seemed to be about the right...

Re: Clutch pedal wobbly
Right on, thanks! I'll work on that this weekend.comethead wrote:Yes you need a stop. You can make one. I used two short pieces of 3/16 flat steel welded at a 90 degree angle. I installed a hood bumper to make it adjustable.

Re: Clutch pedal wobbly
One thing, not related to the wobbly part, I think anyway, is I don't have a stop for the pedal. It goes all the way to the floor, past the point where the return spring will bring it back. Do I need to fix that? If you remember from way back when I was putting this car together, I really have no id...

Re: Clutch pedal wobbly
Right on, thanks Pop! Just got it pulled apart. Shaft is definitely loose in there, but other than that bushings and shaft seem okay. I'll get some new bushings and clean it up good, and weld that thing in there good!!

Clutch pedal wobbly
Hey, it's been a while!! Cars been good, although haven't driven it a whole lot..... This is on my 63. Last time I drove it, I was leaving a buddies place, after listening to him give me a hard time about not doing burnouts....I don't know, just not my thing I guess, good for breaking parts and wear...

Re: My 63 project
Dang it's been a while! Haven't really done much to it. I decided I like it just about like it is, so no hurry on anything. I did replace the dash pad a while back, it looks a lot better, even if I didn't paint it.

Re: Input needed on reproduction dash
Okay, I think I've said this before, but interior stuff is not my thing. Finally got around to installing the new dash pad. A little trimming, a couple broken off trim screws, but got it fitting okay, not a pro job by any means, but better than what was there. My original plan was to put it in, make...

Re: carpet replacement
So did you buy just a big piece of flat carpet or a molded kit, for your car?

Re: 63, ladder bars, coil overs.....
Seems like first gear is low to me, I'm not sure what it actually is. I'll check the tag. I think it's the original, but then again could be anything knowing the guy I got it from. He said he thought it was a 3.20?

He does do 8” chunks! I would go with the 3.80’s. I have 3.89’s & T5 with the same 3.35 1st gear. You might as well (and can easily do so) start off in 2nd! With 25.5” tires RPM’s are 25-2600 at 70mph. I still haven't done anything with the rearend. .. but the other day was the first time I'v...
