Re: Door locks

Thank you Pop,
I may give it a try. I've got some masonite left over from another door project.

I've installed 63 hood hinges on the 62 and am getting alot of flex out of the 62 hood. How do I combat this? Is ther...

Re: Wiring replacement
After many years of "rebuilding" old wiring harnesses I tried a cheap generic kit (Easy Wire) and will NEVER do that again. Converting anything Chevy to Ford was a year long nightmare. For good results I found the Ron Francis WR-75 RETRO SERIES Ford Powered Wiring Kit for $300 https://www.ronfrancis...

Re: Clutches & Pressure Plates
Mike...what year is you engine.... single or dual bell pattern... what bell housing are you using... these will determine where to start. I have paired a 69 dual pattern 200, 69 flat fly wheel, with a 67 bell, cj pony T5 adapter, a 81 fairmont 9 inch diaphram clutch set, and a mustang steve cable fo...

Re: T-5 Question
S10 T5 bell housing bolts are NOT same pattern as the Ford T5, jst the case and tail. if doing it on the cheap...a WC T5 S10 tail shorter shift shaft (and shift rail) will and can be used with a WC Ford T5. The S10 speedo location/gear took alot of work If you want to go new/not so cheap...Modern dr...

Re: what did you do to your comet today?
Made some progress on "DD" today. Dropped in the 200 with the flywheel and clutch mounted up., cut out the rusty spots on the floor, and re-assembled the T5 after drilling and tapping the bell to fit the pivot for the clutch fork. Next up...installing the T5 and clutch cable Then finishing the floor...

Re: Sad Little Comet
Most awesome ... As cheap as you can get them for of course. I can go up to $100 for the set without breaking open the piggy bank and am really in no hurry as the car is still in pieces in the garage. Just holler when and if you do grab them...Thank you

Mike...any chance you are headed back to that yard I'm still on the hunt for a set of 62 compatible headlight buckets. I have all the trim rings, but have yet to find any buckets in useable condition.
