Does the spacer go between the floor board and the seat rail?

So I got my front seats redone. I installed the seat rails but for some reason the inner rear bolt is lower than the other 3. Did I install the inner rail wrong. They are directly on the floor board then I'm supposed to install the block spacers, then the seats correct? It has about an inch of gap f...

I'm looking for a carpet kit for my 63 s-22. Any suggestions? I bought one from stockinteriors.com and seem to be a bad kid. Did not sit right over the tunnel and the rear area was not right either.

Damn I got happy too quick. Shakes are back

My buddy told me the plastic came from (I think) stock umbrella stem seals

So I took the valve cover off today and ,S**T, there were shards of plastic the size of a finger nails all by the springs. Don't know where they came from. I hope I got all of them out. Can a bad PCV valve be causing part of the problem?

So I found one that worked. Here are the readings.
1= 125
2=125
3=120
4=125
5=125
6=120
I checked all spark plugs, wires, firing order, timing, and got the carb rebuilt. I was able to get rid of a lot of the misfiring feeling but I know its and old car so its not going to be quiet and smooth.

so I bought a compression tool at harbor freight with 3 different size attachments but none of the attachments fit. Is there a certain one that I need to buy or am I doing it wrong?

You know what gets me ?? this is off the subject of the shaking 6 or anything pretaining to this post,but what gets me is we have these new guys with thier comets and thats great,,but where do they find them?? I drive and look and hunt better then my trained huntin dogs and I can't find one to save...

No, I'm sure. It feels like the vibration comes from the motor. I know these are old cars but it jerks bad. It didn't do it before. How can I tell if there is a bad valve

With the engine at normal operating temp,if you have to, take a screw driver and up the idleing screw just a tad ,just enuff to keep it running,pull the air cleaner off and take your hand and put over the carb and check if you can smother it dead....if you can't....you have a bad vacumn leak...... ...

I guess next step will be to check for vacuum leaks

So the points were a bit too opened and I gaped them at .025. Still shakes. I wonder if the carb went bad.

Its a straight 6 170 CI. I changed spark plugs, wires, oil, cap and rotor. Spark plugs were gaped at .035. Still shakes. Sounds like there is an exhaust leak.
