Im looking to have my instrument gauge bezel plastic gage panel restored ,all gauges are good ,just plastic needs refinishing ,who has had this done ?and who did you use ? 1965 comet gauge bezel

installed A single wire alternator in my 65 comet ,new alternator puts out 14.5 volts ,I turn on the head lights and amp gage shows discharge while running ,I check the voltage again and still reads 14.5 ,anyone have the same issue?

Installed A one wire alternator in the comet , checked it out ,putting out 14.5 volts , amp gage on dash stays centered , put on headlights and needle goes to discharge ,checked voltage with lights on,still putting out 14.5 volts, why is gage showing discharge ?

Thanks Tom, that was what I was thinking , just run the alternator wire, eight gage to battery side of solenoid .

I just completed install or A crate 302 from summit in my 65 caliente, blue print engine , runs great, I just bought A one wire alternator from summit, will my stock amp gage still work with this set up ?

I just ordered A 302 crate engine from summit , $3,299.00 ,built by blue print engines it is the filly dressed drop in, with distributor and carb ,great warranty,and good customer reviews, only thing is it has the GM type HEI large distributor , I geuss that my curved monte carlo bar will not work w...

The HP should be in the range of 275,

I called modern driveline ,they recommended A ductile steel one , for $150.00 . all other parts ,transmission are from them ,so I will go with their recommendation

Putting together parts list for my engine swap ,302 from summit , need new flywheel 50 oz, 157 tooth, should I go with A cast iron OE or ductile steel type , steel one weighs 20 lb, and cast iron weighs 25 lb , whats your opinion on this.

you guys that went to the 302 can you notice any more performance over the 289 ?

I talk to Albert all the time, he was concerned about the 289 going bad. but no ones fault, I probably will need a pulley ,the one on the 289 is a three bolt two groove. thanks

I think Im going with the 302 engine , from summit, from blue print engines , everything on it ready to drop in , will need a flywheel balanced to 50oz, and a four bolt two grove pulley , this all should mate up to my tremec five speed ,Any advice is welcomed.

I have A 65 caliente 289 , in need of a new engine undecided on rebuild or 302 , what problems would I have with install of the 302? car has A tremac five speed. thanks.
