Hey Joe why don’t you “contour” the grease cap flat with a hammer? I think there’s enough space behind it for that. This coming from a guy made a special tool to keep his purdy? :P Grease cap already flat, Joe. Used Ford B5A-1131-A. If I do anything, taking a grinder to the retainer  ...

Re: Joe's '63 1/2 Tinkering Thread
Hey John, will that 14" spare fit your front discs? That could be an ugly surprise if not. Jim Hey Jim just an FYI, the only 14” Ford wheels that don’t fit factory disc brakes are early 65 and under. Everything after that including standard steel wheels and stock optional wheels clear the KH...

Re: Joe's '63 1/2 Tinkering Thread
Passed inspection w/ flying colors Wednesday. Horn is a bit stubborn because contact in turn signal switch is sticking occasionally. Junk aftermarket stuff :? Need to take the wheel back off and try to resolve that problem. Dielectric grease was probably a bad solution. Had a very slight vibration ...

This linkage is mounted to the intake manifold https://www.ebay.com/itm/166370233699?m ... media=COPY
It has a lever where the kick down rod is attached.

'Watch him' as 'in your mirrors' Joe II Hey Joe last spring was, I believe, the 50th anniversary of the Cobra Owners track event. The 100th event. Lynn Park is an old guy and I don’t think he really drives his cars out there anymore. He brings a couple Cobras and parks them in the front near...

The next track event will be held on 28/29 October. Open invitation to anyone that would want to go and see some old iron going fast on a historic road race track. The track is about 1.5 hrs north of LAX or 1 hour north of Burbank airport. Be cool to meet some of you guys. I might even put you to w...

Yes he’s the one that rents the track twice a year for these events. Nice guy! 'Watch him' as 'in your mirrors' I'm not Cobra aficionado but his old slab side beater is a killer car  Joe II He’s got an original million dollar one and a newer kit made to look like a beater. https://yout...

There are track events all year but this one focuses on 60s era Fords and Cobras (although there are a lot of newer Mustangs too). It’s no fun running against BMWs
