Re: rear view drive vs front wheel drive

We have a BMW twin turbo diesel RWD in our fleet and the Western Australian and Queensland Police Force are introducing the Kia twin turbo petrol V6 into theirs, RWD is the preference for police forces in the USA and here due to the durability and cheaper maintenance....

Re: Engine swap

Found this vid on YT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x05jvBR08U Its 10 years old but the poster may give you some assistance.

Not a Cummins but a Perkins. If you want a diesel perhaps it maybe easier to choose a diesel engine that suits the car rather than trying to shoehorn the heavy Cummins.

A guy goes to the Post Office to apply for a job. The interviewer asks him, "Are you allergic to anything?" He replies, "Yes, caffeine. I can't drink coffee." "Have you ever been in the military service?" "Yes" he says, "I was in Iraq for two years." The interviewer says, "That will give you 5 extra...

Man those wheels sure look light weight for the street!! The cluster looks good, but I like needles,,, not that I'm a junky,,LOL Those front wheels are not street legal...they are 'for racing only' stamped on the hub.... Engine was a 408 Windsor ( stroked 351) C4 9" rear end. Willwood brakes. It is...

Comet type speedo electronic upgrade

I was at the local meet at the BP service station on Penlink freeway, Baxter yesterday evening. Good weather always brings more cars out.....well this '64 Falcon arrived with a modified speedo. Our '64 to '66 Falcons basically had '63 Comet speedo housing, albeit ours were chromed plastic, whereas t...

SCOTTISH LOVE STORY An elderly Scotsman lay dying in his bed. While suffering the agonies of impending death, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favourite pan fried drop scones wafting up the stairs. He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning on the wall, he slowly...

Replacing the UCA and LCA . Took the opportunity to perform the Shelby Drop using a purchased template. Straight forward enough. Gave the inner guards a coat of gloss black. The car's underside had been sprayed with an anti corrosion coat in its lifetime and what looks like surface rust under the pa...

Re: Just Wondering About Car Definitions

Mike...don't beat yourself around the head figuring out 'a category' You could just give it a generic name rather a searching for the right title...ie The $@^-#!, The Black Hole ( sucks in your money ), or Alimony ( you make regular payments for no benefit). So when your wife asks "where are you goi...

Re: Seeking Steering Box

I hear you on bump steer but there are many R&P systems out there to chose from. B/S was an issue to a degree with all the early Falcons and I suspect Comets until the steering arms were modified in '65.

Re: Seeking Steering Box

I heard Randy Milner (owner of Melvins ) say on FB the other day that they now had new sector boxes for 64 & 65, which is a little shorter than 63 on back. & you would need the proper column tube. & I think he said 499$ so kinda high but at least there are some out there now. For that money I'd rat...

Re: Disc Brake Conversion a 1963 - Quite a few Questions

First off you have a nice looking 2 door hardtop! I like the color! The biggest limitation with the 6cyl cars are the narrow (4.5IN) 4 lug wheels. Most of the disc conversion kits you will find require a minimum 5IN wheel width. The 4.5IN wheels are just too narrow for the caliper to clear the whee...
