Re: Automatic to manual conversion on 64 Caliente
Eric, you can get a zbar from Falcon Parts. You can get a upper and lower clutch rod from Melvins. The engine side and frame mount pivots as well. You will need a 4 speed clutch and pedal set up. Their is a restored setup on eBay for $200, I have seen unrestored go for $150. I have a 5 bolt and 6 bo...

Tha Fairlane spring is over six inches wide and the Comet spring is just over 5 inches. The Comet spring sits on a spring perch and the fairlane sits right ...

Re: 62 comet suspension swap!!! PLEASE HELP
Matt, the only part you can use from the front end are the spindles. The upper and lower control arm are totally different. I think the rearend is a little wider than the Comet. I have a correct comet rearend housing and axles. I have a brand new set of Moog lower control arms for the Comet. I am in...

Re: 347/475
Finally picked up my motor today. I put it off until I finished the Fairlane as it didn't need that much work. I needed a car to drive this summer. I think it came out real nice. This is motivation to get the Caliente done this year. I started this project in June 09. Man time goes by fast. Here's a...

When I talked to him he said he would do exchange if you had a nice cores. I also got my headlight buckets from him. whoever he sends them t...

Re: Repro gas tanks
I paid $280 for a really clean tank last year. I think it was $70 for shipping and a couple hours of cleaning the factory undercoating off the bottom of tank and then painting it. I'm probably into it for $400. $300 seams like a fair price. Looks like he has a limited number off tanks available. Jim
