Re: steering box
RH - 5-turn ‘64-‘65 Comet/Falcon boxes are relatively easy to find find. The 63.5-64 V8 boxes used a 1-1/8 sector shaft, 65 V8 used 1-inch. All 6-cyl were 1-inch sector. Re: Strut brace question..what happend here?
Shucks, you're halfway to an export brace (like Johno linked to)! They're a better part IMO! Is that really a single pot plastic master cylinder?!?!? Man! FYI that those (any single circuit) master cylinders are almost always replaced with dual circuit designs for safety.

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread
A proportioning valve is a good idea even though they’re not always needed with 4-wheel discs. That’s dependent on how the front, rear, and MC are matched up though. Non-factory mix & match ya might need it! :) There’s a lot of info out there on residual valves. Using disc I’ve only seen 2-lb’ers......

Re: 65 Comet with 390
I’m with Jim on “pit of vipers”! Interesting though...seems like headers are always one of the first “serious” perf upgrades when we’re kids (relatively speaking). LT’s are almost always a PITA to install so as the years go by it’s a love/hate thing. To me, making a set of headers from flanges down ...
