I visit TFFN,it is OK,not as KOOL as here!A LOT of the questions on TFFN show me that many of those people need to put down the tools and go inside and turn on TV!!! ROY.

PAYING a fee to join a site ain't the problem,,,but after being banished permentaly as STACEY said he was ,then to suggest he offer money to get back in good graces is like trying to buy a friend,,that's the way I see it.........AND THATS WRONG IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS !!..IF ever it came to it,there was a fee needed to keep this site going,,,just tell me how much and where to send the check !! This is a small little rant not about TFFN Forum in general, I have visited there myself but never joined, in fact I only belong to one or two others that I visit occasionally. My complaint is the forums that want you to join to see pictures or use the search function on the forum, etc, I won't do that, I don't think guests here are restricted in any way except being able to post, if someone wants me to join just to see the information I will find it elsewhere, besides most of the info I need is contained here, trust me most of the things I Google send me right back here, and given enough time we will have all the info here as long as people continue to freely share the things they do and the knowledge they have with others (that is why it is important to share what you do, no matter how trivial it may seem. You know, kinda like I do ) I have to say the members here are the best about showing how they do things and answer question about all sorts of things, I would suspect we have more people visit our forum than are members (sometime I will check and tell everyone what our hits are).

Always free, always will be. The only way there will ever be any kind of money asked for is if some unforeseen issue comes up and I can't afford the few dollars needed to keep this site up, and that would be on a donation basis with no benefits provided over the guy who can't afford it (not going happen most likely ever) there will never be ads or pop-ups of any kind (unless someone offers me an insane amount of money to advertise, then all bets are off ) As I have told everyone in the past I am not in this for the money.

Finally to everyone, YOU are the reason we are here, and people make the site, really Comets take second place to the friendships and camaraderie we have, even if we may have never met face to face.

I didn't create Rippers problem with TFFN and i didn't mean to upset Pops but for some reason I feel caught in the middle. I don't understand why it happened nor have the answer to resolve it. I guess I should have folowed my own beliefs and just kept my mouth shut. We have a nice group of people here on this forum and I feel priveleged to share interest in our cars and be a small part.

I have tried many times to join the TFFN site but no luck now I know I am not missing out on anything, I applied more than a dozen times but no reply, I was hoping I would find out some info on my Ranchero & many time people put a link to a discussion on something I am interested in but I can`t view it unless I am a member. this is the most active & layed back site I have joined plenty of experienced guys too, to help out with information, hope to make it over one day to meet some of you guys in person. I know what happened, but you cant see it now, the post was deleted. He just ask to buy something, that's all he did who would have thought you might get banned for asking about parts? without even a warning or explanation. he was never given a warning that I saw. he didn't even know what he did wrong, I had to tell him. after Stacey had one thread title started with ''WTB'', one of the moderators put up a post about no for sale or want ads,& for new members to read the rules ,but it was in a totally different section,paint/body. Unless Stacey would have just happen to stumble into that section & read that he didn't know better. then yesterday morning Stacey ask to buy something else, still not knowing he was doing anything wrong. that thread was deleted .On the other thread of Stacey's it said he was banned for breaking the rules more than once.That was his only mistake,not reading the rules. but most people are at least given a warning.
Stacey is right, it is much harder to navigate over there, with many sections & rules for each section, it's hard to figure it out & find any thing until you get kinda use to it. Yes there are knowledgeable folks over there. When building these old cars finding parts is much harder than finding info,so I have never understood why the big deal about asking to buy parts or sell them. We have a lot better site here , much more user friendly, & much more friendly too, unless you're selling kitchens,shoes or porno!

i dont hardly ever get mad and if i do its not for long.i do not hold grudges.so if i take a low blow,it dont bother me none.i figure if someone dont like me,its their problem,not mine.i have no problem getting along with people but theres always someone everywhere you go that will try to be a ass.jmo
