Have you named your car?

Post by loman »

Reading Baldy's post about "Elizabeth" and Luc3ch's "Stella" made me wonder what kind of nicknames everyone has given their cars if any. My names for my Comets are not that original, "Ol Green" RIP, "Ol Blue" and "The Black car". I have a Mark VIII that is called Mary Kay and an old 97 F250 that is called the Snowmobile.

I don't use it much anymore but I named my Comet "Mabel" when I was 17, really don't know why I chose that name, but my mom always called her Mabel from then on.

See Ya,

Mine is called, "Start ya bugger"
"I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains,..enough with the floods already..."

The Dune Buggy build's have all had names. My wife initiated those. My Cyclone is simply that; same for the Falcon. Come to think of it, my 66 truck was called the Hotrod.
66 Cyclone GT; 245/60R15's on 15x8's and 215/70R15's on 15x7 Magnum's.
There's nothing like the sound of a pushrod V8 singing at the top of her lung's.
