Spring is on it's way!

Post by SASSY »

The white pic is 25 minutes from our house the other 20 minutes later coming down the Creston-Salmo pass, amazing what 4000 ft att. does to at this time of year.

I don't know how you people live like that. That's crazy.

It here snowed all last week probably got 4-6 inches of it. Wasn't cold, it was melting as it was falling and by friday afternoon it was all gone. Today they're forecasting 27 C or 80 F. Gotta love Spring!

Brook trout fishing marks the beginning of spring time for us. We have a secret spot in Yosemite. The poor things are hungry after being in the frozen ponds all winter   The snow makes it convenient. Yesterdays take :D

Catfish know what taste good!
I have a son that lives on Fort Gibson lake, Oklahoma
All we used for Cats when I was out there was a glove.

Sorry for high jacking you thread Fred.
Hopefully we will be sharing some of your veiws soon.
We are looking to move west of Flathead lake in a few years.

Matt, I think you have some pretty decent views where you are? not?
We have been around Flathead several times. here are a few examples
Back in the 80's I raced a circle track there, Kalispell still has great racing but on a different track.
First time we used Sassy to pull the camper to the mountains we stayed by the Flathead and took Sassy up
Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier Nat.Pk.
And a couple years ago I embarrassed myself by throwing Marilyn in the car and taking her to a car show in
Kalispell now that we're only a couple hrs west on highway 2.
Anyway they have a great car show downtown there, so I'm told but we were there a week early
Look forward to meeting you one way or another Matt.

That's what I'm talking about Pop's was fun after the first one. The first one for me felt like a hundred plus pounds but the kid said it was just a little 45 pounder
Lot of fun but I'm going to stick with a fishing pole from now on.

Fred we have some good veiws but nothing like Northern Montana if you ask me.

Go-to-the-sun road is one of my favorite places. I bet Sassy fit right in with those old red tour buses in Glacier. Going to try and make it to Waterton this year or next. Have you been there??
Ended up in Browning once that won't happen again!!
Here we are at a gas station around midnight in a Subaru outback with California plates and 3 Blackfoot Indians that want us to just walk away or bad things are going to happen. That is all they are telling me!! Wish I had a picture of the looks on there faces after I pulled a hand cannon out from under my jacket
Wish someone would of warned me before I ended up there! That it is not a tourist friendly town.

Hey MAtt, ya we were in Waterton once. We were touring on a Gold Wing. That trip we rode from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan(our home town) to the Beartooth pass (11,500 ft ,,I think) which is the east entrance to Yellowstone Pk, through the park and north to the Flathead lake. Then over the Going to the Sun pass, highway 17, aka Chief Mountain Hwy and into Waterton, was a great week of riding.
If you don't spend a night at this hotel, ya missed it,,,

On a Gold Wing!! That makes my back hurt just thinking about it. Not having passports was the reason we missed out on Waterton last trip up there.
One of my bests friends and my fishing partner for the last 36 years home town is Caronport close to Moose Jaw.
