Hot Rod 100

Post by gmsnowball »

Drove the Comet convertible on the legendary Hot Rod 100 last weekend. Started in Mustang Oklahoma with a stop in Ames Okla to visit Brent Hyjek's private car collection and ended in Enid Okla for the BBQ lunch. Over 150 old cars, Hot Rod's and a few scally wags with new cars made the trek. All total we put 310 miles on the Comet and it made it without a hitch, averaged about 19 miles per gallon. Here are a few pictures of the Hyjek private collection, one I would kill to have. I was like a kid in a candy store, I wanted them all.
