We watched "Hidden Figures" last night, most of the movie is set in 1961 so lots of 50's and well early 60's cars, in the very early part of the movie when the '57 Chevy is (naturally) broke down on the side of the road (right after they put up there on screen it is 1961) the cop pulls up in a '64 Galaxie Police car. I guess the rest of the movie lost credibility for me :P

That is lame but not uncommon!! Did you finish watching it?!?

Movies are even worse about guns. I’d wager we never fielded an M14 in WWII...

I did, mostly to see the cars even though I quit looking to see what years and styles were incorrect, I am sure there were a few that had too modern of wheel styles and probably the wrong years. I did notice that the '57 Chebby had a long tube header under the car in one shot, not sure how many '57s would have been hot rodded in 1961 :P and driven by three ladies to work every day at NASA.

I will say most of the cars were a bit too shiny as well, not many clapped out old cars like there would have been or like there is today, but then again the deputy was driving a car that would not be manufactured for another 3 years

Nope. It didn't come into service until the early 60s.
