I have scrubbed my belly bar a couple times when I had it wound up on a country road & hit a dip a little too fast. I just guessed when I made it,didnt have the motor in. I need to alter it ,raise it up a couple inches & it'll still be low enough to protect the oil pan. but the way it is now, I use the floor jack there & it will get the frontend really high!!

I wanna know about that gas tank.
66 Cyclone GT; 245/60R15's on 15x8's and 215/70R15's on 15x7 Magnum's.
There's nothing like the sound of a pushrod V8 singing at the top of her lung's.

good eye lipripper! :o :D
when I narrowed my framrails the tank wouldn't fit. the front of the tank pocket had to be narrowed too . it is narrowed 5'' ,the bottom half of the original tank & turned 180° & dropped a little in the rear, with the section that had the sending unit hole cut out & smoothed off. with a 15.5 gal cell fabbed to fit in it . full size top half of old tank for a cover.

fills from factory spout & unless you really know comets well it looks stock from above.

I used a piece of another tank top to make a lid to cover the rest of the tank pocket for a tool compartment.

on the new floor I bent the edge next to the tank to match the front pocket,so it looks right from below.
