Holidaying!

Post by SASSY »

Since we never went south this past winter we decided to spend some money enjoying our beautiful province.
This morning we have our boler camper set up in a little park, Salish Seaside rv on the inner harbour in Victoria.
Watching the float planes and cruise ships coming and going.
Hope to post the odd pic of our little adventure.

We're on the island right now, regular 155 ish in Nanaimo, 161 in Victoria.
'Bout the same in Van as Victoria.
My minivan runs on premium, its somewhere in the 180s! I look away till the pump kicks off get in the van and drive away telling myself to enjoy it while I can.
Stopped at a traffic light in Victoria today I commented to Marilyn "look at the future" there were 2 Leafs and a Tesla in front of us!

So, that's about $6.00/gal Canadian, or $4.45 US for regular? OUCH! :x It's running $2.26 to $2.50 US here right now. We were in Virginia earlier this week and it was $2.69.

Having a little trouble getting the pics off my phone onto this site. Took this with my tablet.
Its our campsite at Living Forest just out of Nanaimo BC. Neat to see the tide go in and out. May not be noticeable in the pic but we can see the white capped mountains on the mainland about 30 miles away.

If you click on the pic a couple of times it gets big enough to see something.
was a beautiful scene but camera and operator,,,,, sad.
our little trailer is above the boat in the center of the pic, to the right are house boats, a cruise ship docked behind and the USA Olympic peninsula mountains in the distance. Pic was taken Monday eve in Victoria.

Thanks guys.
Been in Tofino last couple days incredible beach and weather!
Went through the city where Tweaked (Roger)lives, visited him in about '08 when out here on a motorcycle trip with my son. At that point the Comet was a "Dream" as Grover would say. Managed to get a hold of him via email but our schedules won't match enough to meet up :( . Says he is putting new heads on the car should have it running this weekend. Asked him to post here more that I enjoy his posts.
Pic or 2 soon.
