Bet you Can't do This

Post by Jims65cyclone »

Drivers in the president’s motorcade are trained and able to spontaneously reverse direction in unison should there ever be a threat to the president that requires them to quickly extract the president and themselves from danger.

When you take into account that the Secret Service limo driver for the President is driving a 12,000 lb. automobile at speeds up to 60 mph in reverse,
over a one mile course, it’s even more amazing.

About 289 miles is backed off the odometer for every practice lap taken.

This car has about 800 horse power.

The vehicle the President uses has a totally independent air conditioning system with its own oxygen supply in case there is any sort of aerosol poison in its vicinity.

I wondered if it was fake. Mighty good job if it was. Tried checking it out first on Snopes and other verification sites, but couldn't find anything. I figured fake or not, it was entertaining.

I actually went 60mph going backwards once, although not technically in reverse. Let's just say it didn't end all that well.
