a newbie

Post by TomP »

I hope the initiation rites aren't too sadistic here

I'm an old Comet newbie. I used to have a bunch of Comets 25 years ago then became a Ford guy, i have now found myself with two Comets so i guess i'm diversifying.

I am just starting on a 64 Caliente hadtop for a drag car. It'll replace my 64 Fairlane sedan using it's 427, Jerico and 9". I also have a 66 Caliente convertible which i'm torn between selling or fixing up as a cruiser.

Other non-Merc stuff includes a couple 64 Fairlanes, a 67 Mustang fastback, 53 F350 ramptruck and a V8 Ranger for a daily beater.

Hi Tom, our paths cross again. I only check this forum once or twice a month. I ran the dura spark I bought from you but switched back to my old distributor. I'm starting on my 65 comet again, hope to have driveable by next summer.
