The Long Needed Pic Posting Thread

Post by Ratical »

How to use postimage click this link;

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16011&p=97301&hilit ... ead#p97301

but the info below is still helpful,except for photobucket cost money now so most of us use postimage.

To post photo or pic here you need an image hosting site. ( I use " photobucket.com " but it is not free anymore) from there you can upload the images on your computer to it and section them into folders, Also i use a smartphone to take my pics. I then use the photobucket app to send them directly to my accont and never have to store them on my computer. but you could use another sites,,there are free ones,lots of guys use Postimage
On to the pic posting part.
1. Open your photobucket account page(or which ever host you use) and the folder that has the pic you wish to post.
2. Move your cursor over the pic the box should open with options to "Share / Edit / Delete / Move" and 4 link boxes below
3. Dont Click. if you do just use the back button.
4 Again move the cursor down to the box next to " IMG code " now you can Click.
5 The text in the box should flash copied
6. Return to Comet Central (Here) where your posting and while typing your text when you want to insert pic you right click and paste the "IMG link" you copied from photobucket.
7. Your pic will not show up untill you submit or preview your post. it should look like the pic below.

I hope this helps and if theres any steps i can add to make it easier to understand please feel free. also I know there is a tab for uploading attachments but we have reached the maximum amout the server will allow so a hosting service is our only option. I'm no computer wizard.. just trying to help others out, I like to see pics and keep this a Great site, I have found some great knowledge on here and very nice people I hope your visit is a pleasant as mine and you wish to stay awhile. Thanks, Nathan Cook

We have had a couple picture posting threads before, but never with such detail. Too bad none of the moderators come on here any more, this needs to be a sticky! 8)

no a smart phone is not neccesary. a digital camera,even a cd copy from your film devloper and some even post them to an online site. once you save them to your computer you can upload them to photobucket.
