It is time to remeber all the men and women that served for our countries.
I'm posting a link to a great video. This song and video is worth the time to watch.

Thanks Roger!
A big salute to past and present, and Allied, military members!
I just got done reading an interesting historical account of Vietnam at war. It starts in the old days (like 1200s or something). But what really interested me was the 20th century aspect and the eventual drawing-in of American forces. It opened up my eyes to many of the facts of the war, and the many, many lost opportunities on all sides.
Heres some interesting facts on that war:
http://www.vhfcn.org/stat.html
http://www.mrfa.org/vnstats.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_War_casualties (65-70 were the peak years for casualties)
Some general info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Sta ... ies_of_war (Of note: look at Korean War casualties...pretty high for a 3 year conflict. I think most of those occurred the first year. Its an indication of the intensity of that war)
I know its history...but the raw numbers tell of the sacrifice in blood.

Again, a big salute to all the Vets! Now and always.
Some history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armistice_Day. Veterans Day in the US came from Armistice Day after WW1.
We shouldnt forget that before the US joined the fight in WW1, 1917, the Allies had been slugging it out with Central Powers for 3 years. Sustaining heavy losses and fighting bravely.
The US tilted the balance to win the war.
