my tranny just blew in my 65 comet and now having to take the tranny out i was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to a 4 speed, what parts are needed, how big of a job it is, ect. any info would help thanks.

other than the obvious you will need flywheel clutch disc and pressure plate for your engine cross member clutch linkage cross bar and pedels

hey Raceu4her..if you need 4spd pedals, I have a couple that came out of a 65 caliente. let me know and I'll sell em to ya cheap!

do comets require trans hump changes when you do that??

You would need a 4 speed trans. hump.

the position of the shifter holes in the floor are different. The manual cars and the automatic cars are very different.

Along with the pedals, I believe I have a steering column that I am willing to unload. If you're interested that is...
