Went to Bangor today and on the way up we past a 65 Comet vert, I think it was dark blue. It was in Leithville headed to Springtown, Pa for a show, anybody know the car?

I was talking with Mark (383Merc) last night and he is gonna run Maple Grove the next couple of weeks and then is gonna run at Beaver Springs, Pa in the Nostalgia Nationals Sunday July 17. I too. have been to this race before and if you like mid-late 60s super stock cars it is THE race to go to. I would invite anyone in the area to attend, it is amazing, so much so that I am going to forego Chrysler at Carlisle on Sunday to go to it. Maybe Mark will chime in but I knwo he is going to running time trials Saturday so there will be action that day

It's not too late to make the trip to Wisconson Dells! The Falcon Nationals, a three day event slated for July 14th, 15th and 16th! As part of the event, Friday there will be an "All Comet" show! Saturday will have an "All Ford" show that is featuring ... yep, the Mercury Comet!!!
http://northland-falcons.com/
As one of the host chapters of this huge event, we have had some conflict with the brass of the FCA and were required to "down play" the Comet show and about the Comet being the feature car of Saturdays all Ford event. The Northland Chapter of FCA welcomes Comet owners into their chapter, but the FCA does not recognize or accept Comets. Let's stick it to them and show up with a blaze of cosmic wonders! :D
So far it looks like 30+ for the Comet show!
Take care, and see some of you there! Cary

I fullu understand, there are just so many places to go and things to do! While I was waiting for my new EFI to show up I brought my '70 Challenger convert with the Webered hemi to "Mopars in the Park" the Midwest's largest Mopar show and garnished a "Mopar Performance Top 10" award. ( ya I know, kick me out!)
I'll be looking for the rest of you in Wisconsin Dells this weekend!

Well I missed the Nats this year due to the birth of our first grandchild last Monday, a beautiful girl everything went well and we have enjoyed her. Other than the local shows here and in PA with various cars, the next travel date to speak of will be the Moonshine Festival Oct 21-23 in Dawsonville, GA. It appears to be a weekend event with cruises and other events as well as the show itself. Kim and I gonna drive up in Aunt Lou as long as I replace the front pump in trans by then. Actually I would probably drive it even if I didn't, most of my problems returning from Pigeon Forge was due to over filling it. If I keep the level even to pint low it works beautifully and doesn't really leak a lot, but I haven't had it on the highway for more than 30 miles or so at stretch since then.

So who is gonna join us there?

I may change my plans to go to the Moonshine festival if no one else is going. I have been ask to bring my "collection" to a local show the same week end. It is to benefit Alzheimers and is being put on by a former employer and friend in honor of his wife. If oyu have thoughts of going to the Moonshine festival please let me know.

Thanks, Kevin

Would love to see that Crosley, I am a fan and at one time thought I might like to have one, I had a 210 Datsun that I hung on too way too long because I thought it would make a great Crosley donor (of course one needs a Crosley first, I always wanted a convertible one from the 50's)

See Ya,
Mike

OK Pugs, then I will stay the course and come to the Moonshine Festival, see if you can Barry into coming, it'd be great to see him again. Crosley's are cool enough just cause you don't see many of them, I'm not familiar enough with them to know the different models. I saw a Mercury Montclair Maeauder last night at the Whataburger that was new in town. The guy moved here from the Carolinas and buys and sells $5-7k cars for funs, idrives them awhile and tweaks em a bit and tries to turn a small profit. It was a light blue color with white painted top and white gut, 390 auto, neat enough car but mainly nice to see something different.

Mike any upgrade to a Crossley is cool. Kevin I'll talk to Beeler and see if I can get him on board. Look forward to the trip, Pugs.
