Just bought a 66 Comet, I am putting in a 4 speed. I need an equalizer bar, but all the parts catalogs only list an equalizer bar for big blocks. I have a 289, are all the bars the same, if not where can I get one.

A big block one should work. If it is different I would guess it may be thicker diameter.
65 Cyclone drag car, Boss 351C, Total Performance headers, 4speed, 4.56 gears, ladder bars, etc.

Look for one off a 66-67 Fairlane or Comet with a three on the tree and an 289 as they are a easier car to find than a four speed parts car. This is what I did when I converted my 66 202 to a V8, found a 67 Fairlane four door in the junkyard that had a 289 with a three on the tree and pulled everything I needed to do a manual trans conversion.
I cannot seem to find my pipe stretcher and sky hook, did I put it behind my bucket of arc sparks??????
