Hi Guys:
Well....have been bitten pretty hard by the Comet bug....
I like my 66 Cyclone 390 4 Speed AC Convertible so much, I found a 67 Caliente Convertible for sale on Craigslist in Iowa, and well, I just had to have it!

It's a 289 2V C4 Automatic Car. Aside from a paint job in the early 70's (yes, 70's), its 100% original, including the top!
Previous owner bought it in 1976 with 74,000 miles. Just sold it (had to go into a care facility), and after 42 years, it only has 79,000 miles now!
Just picked it up Saturday, so photos are not great.
Interior is nearly perfect, just one tear in the seat bottom at the threads that can be fixed. New carpet, some cleaning, and it will look great.
Engine runs great, C4 tranny shifts perfectly..
Paint is ok but prep work could have been better, so I am planning a repaint sometime in the future (once the Cyclone is done).
Ordered a marti report the day after I bought it. They only made 1531 67 Caliente convertibles, so combined with the 66 Cyclone production, there was less than 2800 of both cars produced.
Thought it would be really cool to have a 66 and a 67....
Normally I would not have been interested in a small block auto, but its so clean, and was a great deal, and I had a space left in the shop, so I really had no choice....
Thanks for looking.

Yeah, that "was a great deal, and I had a space left in the shop, so I really had no choice" line works every time. She looks good.

Thanks. Got the "really, you need another one" hairy eyeball from the wife, but she is a good sport as I usually at least get my money back once I finish and sell one.
