Finally Got The Comet To The Track!

Post by 383MERC »

This was my first full pass. Still getting the tires broke in. After three burnouts, I ran six passes in the mid 10.50's. Mark

Yeah, it drove real nice! I ended up removing that proportioning valve to try it out, and it's perfectly fine without it. The brakes work fine and seem very balanced.

That car sounds pissed I love it!! You nailed the light good job.
Hard to tell in the video was she topped out right at the 1/4 or was there still some left in her?

I have it figured quite close. I used to cross the stripe at 7000 and the new gearing has me at 7100. I used many gear ratio calculators on line and found a list of calculators on the TCI website. These calculators for gear ratio, rpm, and tire size calculator are the most accurate I have seen! They even calculate the % of converter slip into your formula. The gear ratio told me I would cross the stripe at 7100 and son of a gun, it was exactly on the money! Mark
