Looked up the part for you. '63 V-8 with Manual Steering used one of two Arms. One with 1" dia. and also a 1 1/8' dia.

You'll need a C3DZ-3590-A, available here (20 in stock)

Here's a few pics of the parts manual.

Is there a metal tag on the steering box (top)?? That would help. You can't see casting numbers or date code installed in car but the tag should have all the info needed.
I will look for the tag a little later today. Thank you again for the help

Huh -you learn something every day! Thx for posting that up Bruce. OP - glad I was wrong & you've got a good path forward!! I didn't know any pre-'65 V8 cars were built with a 1" box.
'cause Johno says you gotta have a sig pic! :)

I called the place that listed they had 20 and unfortunately they don't zero in stock. His only option was to send mine off to have it rebuilt. I asked about the cost and he said it would be 201.00 plus shipping both ways.

That Stinks...

I see AutoKrafters does a rebuild service also. Call them. They seem priced about the same.

1 - 800 - 228 - 7346, ask for the rebuild department. They will need yours as a core.

If there was any similarity between the 63 comet and falcon, the 6 cyl falcon had a 1" sector shaft whereas a v8 had a 1 1/8" sector. Comet may have been the same.

I-6 and V-8 use different style arms.

Did not know that. assumed the only diff was the shaft size.
