has anyone done this swap and how difficult was it .also was the donor from an explorer and what year ?

Difficulty depends on your skill level but it is a pretty straightforward swap. 95-01 explorers I believe. I used a 97. Get another short axle. Cut the difference in axle lengths out of the the long side. Weld back together, weld on spring brackets. Driveshaft may need to be shortened. You'll also have to figure out a way to use the e-brake setup, as its a separate drum brake inside the rotor hat. There are some good writeups out there if you do some googling.
