Price for a T-10
Price for a T-10
There is a Craigslist listing for a dual pattern T-10 with Comet tail housing, price $600. I’m thinking of getting it in case I decide to replace the 260 with a later Ford small block. Just want to check if that price is reasonable. Seller says it is in good shape inside. No linkage etc. thx for any thoughts.
Re: Price for a T-10
Seems like a good price. $400 would be better.
You should plan on a full rebuild and maybe a couple bad gears and synchro sliders to add to the cost when you decide to install it.

Man, you went all in. See if you can find two Mustang tailshaft housings on the cheap.
Those '64 1/2 guys might buy them. Don't listen to me. I may get you into trouble. Don't know the Cali market.

Is the one on the left an aluminum case t-10? If it is the case is worth a bunch to early Shelby owners if they need it and have the right tailshaft.

They all weighed the same when I lifted them into the pickup but I checked with a magnet at home to be sure. No aluminum. I did notice they are a lot heavier than the last time I messed around with car parts about 30 years ago.

I've noticed the same thing! Global warming may be a hot topic, but I think the increase in gravitational pull over the last 30 years is concerning, too!
