Howdy,
Does anyone know what transmissions would have been available in a Comet 404 or any 4dr? I'm contemplating doing a build up for the FAST (Factory Appearing, Stock Tire) Drag racing series with a 65 404 4dr that I found but want to see what my driveline options looked like.

All the info I have is on '64s (for some reason 
) sorry I can't help more than that, I would think any transmission from any model would be fine, I'm going to put a T-5 in mine, one of the Mustang catalogs has a stock looking knob for it even, of course I'm going to use my Hurst 3-speed floor shift lever and attach it to the T-5 arm.
I'm trying to keep my car period correct appearing also but as a model that didn't exist.
