Rear suspension ?

Post by RCMike »

So when I turn right, especially on things like freeway curlicues, I am hearing a sound like something is being machined in the right rear corner. I used to hear some tire rub on the fender if I turned it really hard, but now it is a machining noise, and I barely need to turn to get it.

Any ideas what I could be hearing?

Could it be a wheel bearing starting to go? Or something rubbing in the well...you are sitting pretty low 8)
Is the exhaust nice and tight...could be shifting in a turn?

Just some ideas...

Rear wheel bearing or as low as you 63 is check any possible contact points under the car, leaf springs, bottoming stops, driveshaft hitting floor, anything that could come into contact with a moving part during cornering. ROY.
