Good luck with the rearend this time Mark. I know how you feel ,only mine was shorter than I wanted, but only by 3/4''. ya measure several, several times just to be sure, only to let someone else miss figure it & screw it all up  .

Well, the rear came in correct this time, even though they forgot to put all my hardware in the box! Got it all mocked up and started fitting in tires. I borrowed a set of 29x10 tires and wheels from a friend and they actually fit! I may move the rear back about 1/2" just to be safe on the wheel lip at the front. This is great! I was only shooting for a 28x10, but 29 is even better. We will now go with a 4.56 gear instead of the 4.30 and we even have a new set! Started to make up brake lines, installed a splitter block up in the center with a nut welded onto the housing as well as tabs to connect the soft lines to the hard lines and even installed tow strap hooks right away too. Next step is to set the pinion angle and tack the spring perches in place. Then, tear everything apart to clean up and paint. Got a new Wilwood master cylinder and brake lines to install too. Ordered new holeshot wheels for the rear and I'm going to put the fentons back on the front.

You do nice work! Looks good, wheels/tires fit nice. But I think all cars should have big tires on the rear.
Wheel looks pricey, lol

These are 15x8 wheels. I'm afraid the 10" wide wheels will make the section width too wide. Oh, i hope i have to at least think about wheelie bars! haha

I like the stance, I'm a Hole Shot wheel fan, the bigger tires make it look more ready.......Al

Mock-up was completed this weekend and then torn down for welding and paint. My brother actually handed me the welder and said have at it. Never really welded before, but I did all right. Installed tabs for the brake lines as well as hooks for my straps. Got everything welded up, painted the housing and started to re-assemble. I even had an admirer outside the window. haha! Next step is to assemble my new aluminum center section and then on to brakes. Installing a new Wilwood master cylinder and lines while I'm at it. Mark

Yeah, Fred. It seems to snow every three days any more. Getting really sick of the snow and cold. Another 4-6 inches tonight and it was -5 degrees last night WITHOUT the wind chill! Real feel is like 20-25 below. I don't see one day above freezing for the next ten days. :-( Mark

Made a little progress this week. I got my all new Strange center section put together with a spool and 4.56 gears for the new tire size. New front tires mounted up on my old Fenton Gyro's. I ran these for 25 years and the car just wasn't the same without them. (For Now) HAHA. Received my new Holeshot KLASSIC rear wheels. These are so beautiful, I may just have to order the matching ones for the front. Should have a productive weekend on assembly. That's all for now. Mark
