65 Comet Caliente fuel guage

Postby garch65 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 5:34 pm

Hey,

Looking for any opinions and advice on getting my fuel gauge to work again? I assume its the unit in the tank not working as it looks original. all other gauges and lights work, so it would be nice to get that working again as well as advice. :D
Thanks,

well... perhaps replace the unit in the tank?

if you want to test the gauge first to make sure it works, switch the wiring with the oil pressure and see if it registers the same as the oil pressure used to when the engine is running.

Be very careful with the plastic gauge cluster as the plastic is brittle and will break easily.

It could be the small voltage regulator on back of gage panel,
