Comet East /National Ford show Wisconsin Dells

Post by S22Comet63 »

Is anyone from Comet Central coming to the show? We'd like to get a head count, Saturday's show featured car is the Mercury Comets many classes only ten bucks, anyone looking for a bed, Ronnie Crawford has a spare bed for half expenses at host hotel! Call me at 985-502-1963 or Pete Girard at 860-822-6539, This is a good location for central U.S. Comet owners, thanks!

Glad to see somebody else mention that show! I haven't been able to generate much response here. My wife and I plan on leaving Hibbing, Mn about 11AM Thursday morning, so about a seven hour drive, depending on stops should be there early evening. I'm probably already in the Comet headcount as you would be in contact with Northland Falcon and Comet Club, probably Mike or Wayne. We're assigned some cooking duties, come hungry! Looking forward to meeting your bunch and seeing your cars!
Take care, Cary

The Comet show is Friday the 15th, the Falcon show is Sat the 16th. Going to be a busy weekend.
Wish I could be there but not going to happen.

Yes the Comet show is Friday the 15th, the All Ford Show (featuring the Comet) is the Saturday the 16th The Falcon Nationals will be for three days, Fri, Sat, & Sunday. There will be a swap meet area also, I imagine a lot of Ford goodies.
All happening this coming weekend at the Ho-Chunk Casino and Convention center in Baraboo, Wisconsin. That is in the heart of Wisconsin Dells, the Waterpark Capital of the World. Looks to be about an hour west of Milwaukee, about 2 hours NW of Chicago. If you live within those distances, you need a written excuse from your doctor to miss it!

Cary, Glad to see your Comet is still being raced. Missed not seeing you and your wife the last couple of years at the Comet Gathering. Hope you can make the trip again in the near future. Miss your stories. :D :D :D :D Corky

I just returned home from Wisconsin, had a great weekend, saw some great cars, met some even greater people! Cruised Wisconsin Dells, traffic and town reminded me a lot of Pigeon Forge, a very busy tourist haven. (trap) Met some guys who were friends of friends, world is getting smaller. 300+ Falcons, a mixture of other quality Fords, Mercurys, Edsels, Lincolns, and of course Comets! I'm not very adept at retrieving photos from my phone, I was bad with old phone and just got a new one, but will try tomorrow. Thanks for the link for Johno, might be better than anything I can post!
