Intake Design Question

So, this might sound like a totally hypothetical question, or maybe not 
If one was putting 2 progressive 2 barrels on a Ford six, would you want to separate the front and rear parts of the intake with a dividing plate or just leave it open? Or even just have the dividing plate with a hole in it (or some particular size) or not fully seal it around the edges? Or even a butterfly valve between that one could adjust?
Thoughts and opinions?
