Hello All, Pops and everyone...I'm just about ready to put my rebuilt 200 in my '62. However, I just happened to read something in the shop manual about having to install the valve springs with the correct side up. According to the '62 manual, valve springs on one end have closer coils, which go on the base of the head, not at the valve tip end. I didn't know there was a difference (my springs are from a '65). If I have any that are "upside down," will that matter?
*******New info since posting...from what I can gather, it SEEMS that 65 springs are different than 62..and should be the same either way....Hope so...if anyone has additional info, please post.
