COMET CENTRAL

Hey ya'll,

I just need some opinions because I don't want to lose these emblems. I am resecuring the comet letters on the rear quarter panels of my comet. Previous owner pulled them all so they didn't get lost. Which one of these look right to my fellow comet owners? Thanks.

Stud measures 1/8" diameter but it says insert into 3/16" hole. I assume to keep it snug?

The size sounds right but you want the ones with sealer on them.

I can't seem to find any with sealant............

WAY back in the early 90's when I redid my comet,,I took those letters off to re-paint,,,back then was way before this site was around or at least I didn't know of it,,so I took a wee dab of 3-M yellow adhesive glue and re-attached those letters,,,they to this day are still on and are holding tight...yrs ago I was washing it with a rag and hung on one and loosen it just a tad,,I got it off and redid the dab of glue thing again......you can't even tell there is any glue on those tiny pins when you look inside the trunk...pop

Well there is why this is a great place, someday way in the future I will need these so I put a watch on eBay or I might just order some up and stash them away

Man I swear I searched ebay for barrel nuts with sealant. I must have overlooked these because it was a package of so many......... I'm sorry for troubling you guys and appreciate both options. I'm on it.

No trouble at all! I just replaced mine on trunk lid. You might be able to find a smaller
package on ebay. I was able to find a pack of 10 but that was 6 months ago!
