hard starting when engine is warmed up

Post by mcrume »

Ok guru's, quick and easy question...i hope. My Comet starts great when it is cold, but once it warms up, it takes a lot of cranking. Where should i be looking? the other issue is that when i rev it up in park or nuetral, it sounds good and tight...revs without missing...but when in gear, in cuts out some.

Here is what i have. Original 3.3L 200 6Cyl, only changes made were to fuel system. I dropped the tank and had it cleaned and recoated. Flushed out the fuel lines, replaced the fuel pump with an electric fuel pump (mainly because i couldn't seem to find the right one down here) and inline filter. Rebuilt the carb. Of course, changed points, plugs, wires, distributor cap. I was going to change the distributor, but it seems to be frozen in place...and since it worked (or seemed to) i didn't worry about it much.
