Pop, in my car club called the Fossils we have a guy called Wolfman Jack and he goes to several local and well known car shows with his yellow 56 GM panel van and plays all the oldies. He specializes in songs about cars and he plays that Johnnie Cash song along with many others that I have never heard. He talks and sounds just like the original Wolfman. He does all the music for Lead East and goes to car shows in South Dakota.

I don't remember a song like that from Johnny Cash. I do have his song One Piece At A Time as a ring tone on my phone. Also have Alan Jacksons Mercury Blues on my phone as a ringtone. That's my current one. Cool songs both.

I like the 70's version of Mercury Blues by Steve Miller! Both are great!

Don't think I ever heard either version. Still a neat song befitting this group. I like it.

Agreed, the song is One Piece At A Time. Always remember when I worked at Ford how the guys that worked on the line would talk about how you could steal one piece each day and eventually build a car. I always wondered how they would steal an engine or fender without getting caught at the security gate when you left your shift.
