trunk panel repairs

Post by cairnscomet »

Hi all

started a few rust repairs on the 64 vert and came across this area on join of rear quarter and trunk upper panel.
No rust here just filled with bog
Now my question is best way to repair - fill with gorilla glass or weld patch

Hard to tell where your talking about on the trunk from your picture. I'm assuming it is the area above the trunk lid on the right or left at the leaded seam. To fix this you need to take the lead out and remove all the rust if there is any. Then relead it or use a good metal to metal body filler like this stuff.
