crites hood

Post by navychief »

I noticed yesterday while going about 65 /70 mph I noticed my hood rising up some, I have a cut out in the plenum for a 10" dia air cleaner that fits up nice into the plenum,, should I drill some holes in the rear of the plenum to relieve more air pressure at high speeds , thanks

Some pics how I did mine in this thread.

if you dont have hood springs & use a hood prop your old hinges probably have slack in them like mine ,the slack is what lets it rise up. you could get a new set of hinges if you dont want it rising up but my thinking was it may be letting out air when it does. After Roy mentioned his hood ''balooning'' apart I decided to drill holes in the plentium.
