Trunk lid interchange

Are the 65 Comet and Falcon trunk lids the same?
What about 64 ,are they the same as 65

Are the 65 2door hard top and 2door post trunk LIDS the same?

Yes all 65 comet trunk lids are alike.

I thought I read the posts were shorter than the hardtops. Doesn't mean it's true.
66 Cyclone GT; 245/60R15's on 15x8's and 215/70R15's on 15x7 Magnum's.
There's nothing like the sound of a pushrod V8 singing at the top of her lung's.

I think they are for a '64 (because I need a sedan lid), but John would know on the '65.

Have y'all ever looked at a hardtop lid? or rather the space between it & back window? it is big enough for a luggage rack :lol: ok I'm exaggerating ,maybe a ski rack. But I remember Roy saying they were all a like.

All ‘64 sedan and hardtop/convertible decklids are the same. Here is a page from the Factory parts manual, model 71 is a wagon so obviously it does not interchange. This also applies to ‘65 models.

Part number 1964- C4GY-6240110-A
Part number 1965- C5GY-6240110-A

Ok I will admit I had been misinformed in the past then, might make finding a replacement trunk lid for my Comet a bit easier.

I think you're talking to me :) I threw the entire fleet at gluing that trunk gutter on & still had to use some visegrips . but I guess you noticed that :roll: :lol: :)
