Replacement body parts interchangeability

Post by StPro »

Does anyone own a 65 mustang? I would like a couple of dimensions off the cowl. I am thinking of replacing my firewall, rear aprons, lower cowl, cowl side panel and part of the cowl with mustang sheet metal. By replacing these parts I can move the engine back in the engine bay and have all new sheet metal in the center of the car.
Only use the brakes to stop and get gas.

I don't have one but have one new Mustang toque box (I cut up), it was way different but if you are scooting back it might work? biggest difference was the width, it was too skinny because mustang frame rails are further apart also, IIRC, the floor angle was different.

Not sure any of that helps you

See Ya,

That was a concern. With out the two cars setting next to each other you could not tell the floor angle or the height of the fire wall.
Thank You
