65 Cyclone once owned by Dyno Don
Hello from Ohio!My name is Marc and about the end of January a friend of mine Daryl Huffman turned me on to a special 65 Comet Cyclone that was for sale.He said when you getting another car I said I would love to but I'm on disability now and money don't grow on trees because if it did I would be a tree trimmer,he goes on to tell me about this Cyclone and it's history then say's you alt to just go check it out so I did and all I thought to myself was I wish I could get this car and save it.So I waited a week and went back and looked at it again and I took my retirement account papers with me and I showed the guy how much I had in it and said this is what I got if you're interested I will run to the bank and get it out and be right back if not I will be on my way he hesitated then......He said alright go to the bank so I did (It was less than he wanted)and he even delivered it to me.The Cyclone was Dyno Don Nicholson's personal car that he drove to get parts for his race cars plus him and his wife would take it for drives, Don kept the the car for sometime then one day he up and gave it to his head mechanic, Dave McGrane and said this is for all your years of service on my race team and he had paperwork drawn up with the vin #'s then signed and notarized. His mechanic done some things to it and he had it for a while then sold it to a guy in Ottawa,Ohio (Larry Killen) then it was sold to me.It came with a folder of all the signed and notarized papers from Don and his mechanic .The car was also in two magazines...Which I have one of the two it was in! The car had a interior fire and needs a complete interior that's the way I bought it but slowly I will get this car back to being the car that it was but its gonna take some time and money. I'm so proud to own this car I can't quit smiling

Wow cool story and welcome to the forum.
One of his race cars I'm sure would sell for six figures.
It is a piece of history you got there and it sounds like your going to treat it that way. It will be fun finding the parts for that one.
We want to see pictures!!!!

Da'am! What a fire. I'm glad they got it out before losing it all.
