newbie from VA

Post by Glenn M. »

Hi all,
Just came across this site, awesome!
I've had my '64 2dr Caliente since November, 1966, bought it as the second owner.
One of these days, I'm going to get it going. It's been off the road since July, 1969, but I had a lot of fun in it "back in the day".
Thanks for having me here!
Glenn

I'll have to create an online account. No way to upload any pics from my computer directly to a reply? Sorry, I'm an old guy, and no smart phone, not many smarts at all...

You would have to create an account on PhotoBucket but it is free and pretty easy, and yes you do it with your computer, if you follow the instructions John posted and if you still can't figure it out we are a patient bunch and we will try and help all we can.

Welcome and hopefully we can help encourage you to get that Comet back on road, I am still trying with mine but someday I will make it.

See Ya,
Mike

So far, the "Captcha" anti-robot software on Photobucket just can't seem to validate me, time keeps running out before it does. I'm not suprised, since I'm using an old laptop running XP... :P
I'll get registered on Photobucket before long using a different computer. Hope a few pics will be forthcoming then.

That engine bay looks like it was built specifically for twin carbs. Nice car and a belated welcome aboard. I need to try that new file attachment thingy.

Really sharp looking 64! 8) My first 65 Cyclone had a 2x4 setup on a 289 with chrome valve covers. Wish I still had it.

Put a 9" rear with a Hone O/D, 4.86 gears.
Guess I should really finish the car one of these days.
Still needs a headliner, mine is one of those 4 pieces of cardboard, 3 pieces of chrome mylar trim.
It's all done up in a "red white and blue" patriotic scheme.
Bought it when I got back from Nam in 1966. Newest car I've ever owned... :D
