Finally a Comet owner again!
Finally a Comet owner again!
After a long search i landed on what i believe is the right car for me.
67 Caliente, California car with one repaint in 2005 72000 miles, AC, power front discs, auto, 289. I found no rust through anywhere above or below nor evidence of any bondo other than on the DS front fender which was replaced at the time of the paintjob.
My last comet was a FE powered 67 Caliente, i sold in 1981
Be prepared for a barrage of questions LOL

Welcome on, Nice car! if you copy the ''IMG'' code above the ''IMG thumb'' code that you used, the pics will be much bigger & easier to see.

Nice looking car. How did you come by it? What's its history? Besides the paint, was there any other restoration on it? The interior looks pristine.
Speaking of paint, is that an original color? I've never seen it before.

My wife says I only have 2 faults. I don't listen...and something else

Re: Finally a Comet owner again!
I figured here was as good of place as any to post this.
I live in Big Pine Key, ground zero for Hurricane Irma 9/10/17
I evacuated along with my 5 vehicle fleet fortunately. My nieghborhood had a 12-13’ storm surge, it got my house, two of my shops, big Snap on boxes etc, etc.
i lost the new built C4 and torque converter but the new RHS headed 347 survived by a margin of 1” from the lowest exhaust port.
The Comet is in Lakeland, Fl. at a clients Buick dealership.
Just prior to evacuating I had just installed rear discs, SS brake lines, new 3.80 3rd member. FiTech EFI. And a full frame coating underneath, and new wheels/tires.I had to slam it back together in order to get in the car hauler and get it out of here.
Right now i have no place to park it as all of my parking areas were destroyed.
Looking forward to getting back at it soon.
But the news is, she’s safe and sound.
Unfortunately I can’t post pics easily as internet service is still dismal.

Re: Finally a Comet owner again!
Most importantly, glad you made it through Irma safely. Having the Comet get through as well, is a bonus.
