navy chief ,new to this site

Post by navychief »

Hi , just bought a 1965 comet caliente two weeks ago ,sold my 1940 deluxe coupe ,very happy with the comet ,especially because it has a trimic five speed, my other vehicle is a 1953 ford f-100 ,with a 51 mercury flathead v8. this seams like a good site for information and parts for our comets.

Hey, are you the guy who bought Alberts 65 Caliente? He said he sold it to a friend who sold his 40 Ford. If so, we may know more about your car than you do.  Welcome aboard!

So as a former sailor myself (MM1/SS) with 11 years active before I left the deep blue for CIVLANT, your name caught my attention. Where/when did you serve? Welcome aboard!

You have a really nice car ! & you're right Al is a good guy. Your original seat covers are in my car, & in good shape for their age. he did me right on those & a console.I figure big Al will get the comet urge in a year or 2, something like a cyclone with a 5.0.coyote motor & auto trans !
