Another newbie

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and pretty new to comets. I'm a big AMC guy but I acquired a comet for a keeper. I couldn't resist.

WELCOME...YOU and my son in law would get along GREAT !!! he also is a AMC guy,he has a couple of AMX's,one was a dealer backed drag car, and the other is a 70 completely redone in and out with 2x4's 4spd,,and a gremlin X with levei inter 4spd ,,he said the gremlin was his very 1st car...it too is all re-done and is very nice....come to think of it ,he also has a jeep,,,,but he is married to POP's only daughter,, he drives a FORD F150 :lol: :) for everyday transportation...good luck with your comet and tell us more about it.....thank you,,,POP

I have a 65 convert, v8, 4 speed. Pretty excited about it. Fun car, almost as fun as an AMC :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: . ill try to post a pic if I get a minute. I have a 64 comet also that I'm going to sell shortly.

Welcome aboard! You get to playing with that Comet and you'll soon forget all about those AMCs. :lol: :lol: :wink: You're in a rare group with the vert. We've got a few on the site, more 64s than 65s and two or three 66s. They only built 6,035 in 65, so there can't be too many left. Something to be proud of! :mrgreen: We need to see some pics. Here's a link to some interesting info.

Ok, heres a couple pics the day I brought it home. According to its data plate it was built on 4th of February at the Denver plant. C code car, factory 4 speed, 3.25 rear. Originally dark blue metallic with a light blue interior.
