Hello everyone! I just found this forum. I purchased a 1966 Caliente convertible a few months ago. It had been sitting in a barn longer than I have been alive (I am 29)! I am enjoying the car for the summer before tearing it apart this winter. Quick question regarding a T5 conversion. Will the shifter hit the bench seat on my 66' without the s10 tail housing or the kit from modern drive line? I know for earlier comet's and falcon's this is an issue. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Since the 66 is built on the longer Fairlane platform, you may be OK with the standard tailpiece, but I'm not sure.
