1965 Comet 202

Post by jd85 »

So.... Thanks for having me I have never been part of a car forum before so this is kind of cool.
The back story behind this car is pretty wild, I picked it up for a great price considering I believe it to be in great shape for its age. After purchasing the car of coarse I got on here and started reading anything I could possibly find that said 65', and while in the lounge area I stumble upon a post that said something like "65 before pics" or something to that affect. It just so happens to be the same car in the same condition as I bought it in!!! It was just funny to see, it's probably more common than I think considering I dont often see a 65 comet cruising the streets.

Anyway I am looking to build this car as a good all around semi-daily driver, smoke the tires once in a while, bang a few gears, and just plain have fun with it. Im sure I will have a ton of questions along the way.
here is a few pics just for interest, and show how solid the car is without even touching it!! https://www.dropbox.com/s/8t2bnzml45ski ... e.jpg?dl=0

So all photos are too large lets see if this works(probably not)

#poboyjo65 just wanted to say I admire your 65 so much, it's probably the nicest stance from the rear. The tire size, ride height, the blue, and the way you kept true to the car. You rock!!

Well thanks a lot! but it looks better in pics than standing next to it. it has a rough repaint by a young guy in a hurry. but the dull blue kinda grew on me. but thanks again! I spent so much time patching floors & trunk floor that's the first thing I noticed about yours, they still look great!

Welcome aboard! She looks good and solid, and that's a great starting point. Looking forward to following your progress. Start a build thread, and we'll help you however we can.
