Sorry Fred, put 5-bones in the jar...for saying “Posi”...Traction Lok, Trac Lok, limited-slip OR Detroit Locker, Locker...all OK!! :D

Just being contrary!! If (when?) I need to do something with the pumpkin, 3.50’s get the nod. With a .60-.70 OD they’re the bees knees! I’ve run 2.73’s thru 4.10’s (incl. the current 3.89’s in the heap) and 3.50-3.55 always seemed like the best compromise, even with a 2.95 (vs.3.3x) 1st gear.

Well I guess the day has come, it appears Photo bucket has decided to add me to their list of former users.
It will be interesting to see if I can get close at replacing the right pics in the 200 or posts I have made in this thread
I even paid them their 25.00 bucks USD a year ( that's a million or so CDN!!!)
Fred

Well , procrastination paid off! I see the pics again.
Took Sassy for her last run of the year today. Insurance expires tomorrow and forecast is rain plus I have some other stuff happening.
Picked up the last of the steering parts for my 65 changeover today.
It will only be a partial change to 65 as I'm going to use modified 64 spindles and related outer tierods, 67 Mustang pitman arm for my 1.125 - 64 steering box and the rest being 65 Comet. Plus may have to cut oilpan,,, again
Will post pics and explanation of what and why.

Finally broke down and bought a new set of rear tires. I think this is the first "NEW" set since about 1980 when it got a bias ply set of N50s on 10 inch Cragars!
I worked around tire stores and seemed to stumble upon a deal on the right size used tires when I needed them. The set I just took off I bought at a swap meet 10 years ago.
They had been on a dirt track car so the side walls were a little beat up but decent tread on them. They weren't really wore out but the build date on them was Aug, 2000 !! The car sees a bit of speed quite often so thought it was time. Could very well be the last set I buy for it at that rate,,,,
I haven't had the front and rear tires together since I went to 185/60-14 on the front. Quite the case of big n littles but I like them on the car.

Need to get back to the front suspension now that I have the parts for that too.

I like cooper tires,,there is a plant a few hr's drive from home,in TEXKARANA AR OR TEXKARANA,TEXAS,,,DON'T RECALL which side of the state line it's really on...……...just replaced the orginal cooper cobra set we put on wife's 56 ford about 22 yrs ago with another set just like them,,,the orginal set looked nearly brand new but they were dry checked,,was kinda leary of them..have a set on this cobra kit car,,been on there over 20yrs,,dryed out also,,they don't have any miles on them..instead they have feet and inches from just rolling it around in the shop,,they too will be replaced with another set of coopers
