My '66 Project

Post by 66sleepr »

This is my project for the last two winters. It started as an inline 6, auto with bench seat that needed some TLC. The first winter I stripped the interior completely and the motor and trans. After a lot of custom modifications I got the 351W in with the T5 (It sounds like a lot less work than it was). My father and I rebuilt the motor and did all the work except for the machining. The second winter was installing power disc brakes and replacing the 8-inch rear that I decided to grenade last summer, Whoops!!! We put in a 9-inch with 3.55 gears and a Trac-loc. Here are some pics of my journey, Enjoy!

Great before and after pictures. We can all can appreciate the hard work that goes into a project like this.
It all seems worth it in the end though .... you have a really fantastic looking car.
Good job ! 8)

It isn't missing it is just too big to fit if you have room to make your window wider more of it will show, I don't know why it doesn't shrink itself or make sliders.

See Ya,
Mike

P.S. Looking good, B.T.W. 8)

Car looks good. I am building the same car, so these pics are a big help. What did you have to do to get the T5 in there? I am thinking of doing the same engine/tranny set up on mine.

It took me a while to figure out the picture thing as well. If you resize the pictures to 480 before you send to photo bucket or whatever your using, they should worl. I think i had mine at 640 at first and the same thing was happening. Good luck! Oh, the car looks cool!! Mark
